How to wear a scarf on your head 6 easy ways. The scarf used in examples is a square heavier weight silk scarf called ‘Wine red’ but you can use pretty much any square scarf to achieve the look.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold the corners toward the center [3] then fold again in half [4] tie the knot at the back of your head, leaving the knot as is. This is a simple, casual style. You decide how much of the length do you want to show. And also, if you want, you could have parts of you hear covering the knot. I prefer the ‘messy’ style, so I teased bit of my hear at the back and gave it that volume you’re seeing.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold into a triangle [3] place it flat on top of your head [4] take two hanging corners and tie it into a knot at the back of your head [5] tie another knot on top of it and fluff the scarf above the knot to get the volume. You could also tuck in the leftover corners if you’re up for a cleaner look.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold into a triangle [3] make a bun using a larger hair clip [4] place the scarf flat on your hair [5] simply tie a knot on the bottom side, below the ear so it’s not too in the center. The secret to achieve this look is really that large hair clip as that is what makes the volume of it. You can add large earrings too, I wish I did.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold into a triangle [3] place flat on your head and tie a knot under your hear [4] separate hair in two and secure with rubber bands, then wrap the loose ends of scarf, individually, each around the rubber bands [5] do it 1-2-3 times if needed and finally tie another knot to connect the ends. If you happen to have a larger scarf the results would be even better since the back corner of the scarf would probably be covering the knot.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold corners towards the center [3] then, fold the scarf in half [4] make a loose ponytail at the lower back of your head – top of your neck [5] wrap folded scarf around your head and tie a knot under the ponytail [6] then use one loose end of the scarf and wrap it around the ponytail making another knot on a side. You could chose to tuck in the leftover scarf or not. This is a very simple way and what I like about it, is again, the messy, natural look you’re getting.

[1] Take a square scarf [2] fold corners towards the center [3] then, fold the scarf in half [4] make a loose ponytail at the lower back of you head and [5] simply tie two knots around the ponytail. Let the loose ends dangle and no worries if they’re longer than your hair; I used to have this look even with shorter hair and it works great, kind of prolonging the hair line and giving your scarf a stand out.
